It has rained here all day – a good soaking rain with gentle rumbles of thunder. I cannot get enough of the gloomy, rainy days but then again I practically live in a desert in Texas so these days are few and far between.
These days bring out the creativity in me so I cleared the work schedule, tossed aside the to-do list (it will wait for me to pick it up another day), and decided to create some Christmas stickers.
My Christmas Decor Challenge
I know – it’s not even Halloween but I’m in full planning mode. If you saw my Instagram stories recently I mentioned a little Christmas challenge that I am giving myself this year.
I’m challenging myself to create a good amount of Christmas decor with paper and paint. I’m planning to decorate one of my trees with big paper bows from kraft paper I painted.
The rules for my little challenge are that I can’t buy any new decor (because it feels so much more fun to create with paper!) and I can only use the craft and art supplies I already own.
So, I will mix the decor I already own but then add to it with the paper decor.
We’ll see how it turns out. I’m excited because I truly love creative challenges.
Today, while the rain came down in sheets outside my office door, I decided to use the graphics from this month in PLC Insiders and create some little Christmas gift tags/stickers.
I’m currently trying to use the graphics with more ideas. I have one room in my house that becomes the Christmas Candy room complete with a festive white tree covered with so much color. Once I get it up this year, I’ll post pictures.
